Upcoming Tournaments, Meetings, and Special Events —Covid Protocols
As the ongoing and fluid impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continue, and due to the increasing number of cases regionally and nationwide, we have seen a reversion to heightened recommendations and requirements from health authorities across our area. Many establishments in our communities have incorporated policies based on these developments. Golf facilities in the Met Section have not been an exception to these changes. A growing number of golf clubs and courses in our area who had relaxed their precautionary measures are now requiring the use of face coverings indoors, and/or proof of vaccination in order to gain access to their facilities.
As the remainder of this season’s Met PGA schedule of activities unfolds, we plan to proceed with in person tournaments, events, and meetings, adhering to the policies of our host facilities.  We will post any COVID-19 related policies that facilities have adopted on individual tournament/event registration pages so please take notice when registering and continue to monitor for update.
The Board of Directors and staff members of the Met PGA will continue to monitor changes in regulations in operating policies and communicate as necessary.  If you have questions please contact either Met PGA President, Chris Kenney (ckenney@thepattersonclub.com) or Met PGA Executive Director Jeff Voorheis (jvoorheis@pgahq.com).
We appreciate your cooperation as we continue to manage through these unprecedented times.
