KPMG Women's PGA Championship Provides Volunteer Opportunities for our Professionals and Their Golfers
April 1st 2015 -  We are truly excited about the opportunity to be involved with another “major” championship conducted in our Section and this will truly be a unique collaboration of forces.  The stars of the LPGA will be coming to Westchester Country Club for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship the week of June 8th.  The Championship proper gets under way June 11th – 15th but many of the volunteer opportunities will occur early in the week.  The Met PGA will be working with the PGA of America and sponsor KPMG prior to the start of play to support the registration responsibilities, promotional programs that will include but not be limited to clinics and the Family Fun Zone.  The Met PGA will also be responsible for the entire week (Monday thru Sunday) to provide our professionals to work the Practice Range and Practice Green. We will be looking for a minimum of over 125 volunteers and will begin accepting names and assignments as of April 1st.  We know how popular the opportunity to be up close to the action at the range and short game area always is for a major championship but do hope that our professionals will also support the many other needs of the tournament, especially in promoting the game. The tournament is also working on volunteers for juniors (click here or see the attached flyer with this Newsletter) although they already have a number of these spots committed.  For more info, contact Jenna Boyce at or go to
