September 7th 2022 - The National Car Rental Met Assistant Championship supported by Srixon, Cleveland Golf, XXIO and Asics was held once again at Bethpage State Park - Red Course where Andy Svoboda of Engineers Country Club battled through two days of rainy and windy conditions and defeated 141 other Assistants by compiling a two-round total of 8-under par 132.

With the victory, Svoboda has earned himself a spot in the 46th National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship at Wanamaker Course in Port St. Lucie, FL. from November 17 - 20.

Joining Svoboda to compete in Florida are the following Assistant Professionals (in order of qualification): Casey Pyne, Dylan Newman, Isaac Kim, Mike Ballo, Peter Ballo, Matt Dubrowski, Peter Kampmann, Brandon Holden, Shea Wolfle and Connor Costello.

The duo of Alex Beach and Frank Bensel have earned an exemption into the Assistant PGA Professional Championship. Both will compete in the playing of the 30th PGA Cup at Foxhills Club & Resort September 12th - 18th.
