Berliner Stays Hot, Leads Event No. 4 of PGA Tournament Series
Author: Craig Dolche, Special to PGA of America
December 10th 2015 - PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla.—The good news for Scott Berliner is he is coming off perhaps the best 36-hole stretch of golf in his career.

Thursday's 6-under 66 in of Event No. 4 of the PGA Tournament Series means he hasplayed his last two rounds in a combined 14-under with no bogeys.

The bad news is Berliner probably has to shoot another terrific score Friday on the Wanamaker Course if he's going to win his first PGA Tournament Series title.

Berliner leads by one over Dwayne Randall (67), Michael Meisenzahl, Anthony Aruta and John Seltzer. Four other players are two back with 68s: Daniel Urban, who was second in Event No. 3, Adam Reinaud, Jeffrey Schmid and Frank Dully.

"It's nice to hit it well and make some putts," said Berliner of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. "I tried to make a couple bogeys today, but my putter saved me. I know I've got to shoot something low again and see what happens. My goal is to keep doing the same."

Berliner has finished no worse than 11th in the three previous PGA Tournament Series events.

The field used lift, clean and place rules because of wet conditions.

The PGA Tournament Series is sponsored by Golf Advisor.
