Job Description:The ideal candidate will oversee the golf shop and work cooperatively with all department heads. The position will promote an exceptional “Golf Experience” and provide excellent services and programs to the members and guests of GlenArbor. Particular focus will be dedicated assisting in the Administration and Organization of the Golf Operations. Additional duties will include being a member of the Marketing Team, teaching golf, playing with members, promoting rounds of golf, tournament preparation, golf shop sales, corporate logo sales, member sponsored events and maintaining GlenArbor’s “Standards of Excellence” in all areas of golf operations.

Job Description:
General Statement of Duties
Manages and oversees the operation of an 18-hole municipal golf course including facilities and grounds maintenance, turf management, staff supervision, and the planning, budgeting and procurement of equipment and supplies.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Professional Golf Course Management, Business/Public Administration, or related field, plus six (6) years of related professional experience in recreational/golf facility management with four (4) years of supervisory experience.
Professional Golf Association Certification or Club Management Association America Certification preferred.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of golf course administration for a large, heavily utilized municipal course.
- Thorough knowledge of the game of golf.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, direct and coordinate all activities involved in the administration and operation of a municipal golf course.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and addressing occupational hazards related to the operation, care and maintenance of a municipal golf course, ensuring employees and public safety.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial operations, including collection and deposit of daily receipts, management of revolving funds; and preparation of the production of financial reports.
- Demonstrated knowledge of turf maintenance, including tools, materials, methods, and practices in the care and maintenance of golf course grounds, buildings, and facilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Golf Trac software (or equivalent) for payments, membership management, tee time reservations and report generation.
- Demonstrated experience in customer communication platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and interactive websites, with the ability to manage push notifications, text/email communications, and newsletters.
- Proven experience supervising staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and payroll administration.
- Proven experience in capital improvement planning, budgeting, accounting and purchasing.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including strong public speaking skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customized golf software.
- Proven ability to interact tactfully and effectively with the general public, golf professionals, golf groups, media, Town departments, supervisors, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
Territory Management: Develop and maintain relationships with PGA professionals, merchandisers, and shop managers at “green grass” accounts and regional off-course retailers.
Sales Generation: Actively promote and sell JL apparel line to meet or exceed sales targets; carrying 3-5 non-competing lines is permitted.
Product Representation: Present seasonal collections, including product knowledge on fabrics, technologies, and trends.
Order Management: Process orders efficiently, ensuring accurate tracking and timely delivery.
Travel and Events: Travel extensively within the assigned territory to visit accounts and attend industry trade shows. Some travel expenses will be paid by brand, and details are negotiable.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in apparel sales, with a strong understanding of golf industry trends.
Relationships: Existing relationships with buyers inside the golf industry are required.
Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to use technology for virtual presentations (Zoom, Teams) and order entry (Excel, ERP systems).
Passion for Golf, Tennis, and Sport: A deep knowledge and passion for the apparel industry and independent brand representation.

Job Description: This person should be highly motivated, personable, and ready to make an impact in their given role. We are looking for someone who would plan to be with us for two to four years, starting with a role in our outside operations mainly. Job Description: Oak Hills Park Golf Course is seeking a highly motivated and service-driven Assistant Golf Professional to play a central leadership role within a dynamic public golf operation.
This is an eight (8) month seasonal position aligned with the active golf season (April–November). The Assistant Golf Professional will oversee all tournament operations while supporting daily golf operations, instruction, merchandising, and player development programming.
This role is ideal for a PGA Professional who wants to gain real leadership experience, manage a high-volume tournament program, and develop elite-level skills in teaching and coaching, club fitting, club building, and modern player development systems.
Core Responsibilities:

Run and assist junior camps and seasonal programming

April 1 thru June 21 & September 7 thru December 31
Responsibilities will include all facets of the golf proshop, assisting with
member tournaments and clinics, assisting with the PGA Junior League and a vast junior golf program and occasionally assisting with outside golf operations.
June 22 thru September 6
Responsibilities include the above plus teaching 16 hours per week
assisting in our All Sports Program. Our All Sports Program consists of 50+ juniors (6-14) per day alternating between golf, tennis, pool and activities.
Compensation:*Total compensation @ 55K+
Salary $1000 per week
Teaching $20000+
