Timber Lake Camp, located in the beautiful Catskills of New York, is hiring an enthusiastic Golf Director to lead our golf program for the summer. Our campus features an on-site 5-hole golf course, giving campers daily opportunities to learn, play, and improve.
Role highlights:
Run and oversee the entire golf program at camp
Work comfortably with campers ages 7–16, across all skill levels

Job Description: The Entry Level Assistant Golf Professional will be a 6/7-month seasonal position from approximately mid-April through mid-October (flexible). The individual will assist with the management of the daily golf operation including golf shop inventory management, tournament programming, minor club repair and junior golf instruction. The candidate will also work closely with the Manager of Golf Services to help oversee all outside golf operations including bag room, golf car and practice facility management. program examples include:
• MILITARY Pillar | PGA HOPE Program – PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the
flagship military program of PGA REACH and is designed to introduce golf to veterans with
disabilities in order to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
• YOUTH Pillar | PGA Jr. League/DCP/Junior Tour – The Metropolitan Section PGA Foundation
runs junior programming for over 5,000 juniors a year of all different ages and abilities. The
fellow will support all these initiatives.
• DIVERSITY Pillar | Golf-in-Schools/First Tee/PGA WORKS Fellowship – The PGA WORKS
Fellowship program aspires to be the most valuable internship opportunity for individuals from
diverse backgrounds to garner experience in all facets of the golf industry.
Compensation: Compensation for the 6-month period is $18,750. The Foundation will provide an assigned laptop, staff uniforms, and will cover event/competition related travel expenditures (hotel, meals, etc.) while on assignment.
